overview urban planet is a canadian retail chain under ym inc, selling fashion-forward apparel to a young, trend-driven audience. ryan joined the menswear team as a design intern, producing graphics that went live on the urban planet website and onto shelves across canada.

role design intern. responsible for t-shirt graphics, packaging labels, and marketing support. worked within brand and production specifications for retail and e-commerce.

the work produced 564 original t-shirt graphics across multiple seasonal collections, from photographic compositions like "lost in thought" and "tree graphic" to typographic treatments like "forever" and "unknown." each design was built to strict production specs, exact placement measurements, print dimensions, and ada-compliant colour standards. also designed 54+ packaging labels across product lines.

designs went live on the urban planet website and were sold in stores across canada.
